Jessica Huntley is an author of dark and twisty psychological thrillers, which often focus on mental health topics and delve deep into the minds of her characters.
She has a varied career background, having joined the Army as an Intelligence Analyst, then left to become a Personal Trainer.
She is now living her life-long dream of writing from the comfort of her home, while looking after her young son and her disabled black Labrador. She enjoys keeping fit and drinking wine (not at the same time).

I’ll admit that Jessica Huntley’s books always make me a little nervous before I start reading them. They feel so authentic that the stories never seem far removed from reality, and I know that once I begin, I won’t want to do anything else until I know how it ends. She Stole My Baby was no exception.
The premise alone is enough to make your heart sink. Arriving at nursery to collect your daughter only to discover someone posing as you has already taken her is every parent’s worst nightmare. From that moment onwards, the tension never lets up, and I found myself completely immersed in the search for answers.
What makes Jessica Huntley’s books stand out for me is the emotional realism. The suspense is gripping, but it’s the heartbreak, fear and desperation that stay with you long after you’ve finished reading. Every reaction felt believable, making it impossible not to become emotionally invested in the characters and what they were going through.
The twists kept coming, with each new revelation making me question what I thought I knew. Every time I convinced myself I’d worked things out, the story shifted again. As expected, this became a single-sitting read because I simply couldn’t stop until I reached the final page.
I’ve mentioned before that I even experienced a panic attack while reading one of Jessica Huntley’s previous novels because her stories feel so incredibly real. That probably sounds like an odd recommendation, but to me it’s a testament to just how immersive and convincing her writing is. She has an incredible ability to blur the line between fiction and reality in the very best way.
Heartbreaking, compelling and impossible to put down, She Stole My Baby is another outstanding psychological thriller from Jessica Huntley and one that comes with my highest recommendation.
