My Review
My second Sadie Ryan novel and honestly… WOW WOW WOW. I don’t say this lightly — Sadie has now become one of my absolute “buy now” authors. There’s something about the way she writes psychological thrillers that burrows under your skin and refuses to let go. She doesn’t just tell a story; she drops you right into the middle of it, heart hammering, breath tight, and emotions tangled in knots.
From the opening lines, I felt the weight of fear pressing in on me. That raw, desperate panic of needing to run, needing to hide, needing to survive. The sense of danger builds so skilfully that you feel it long before the characters even speak it aloud. I found myself rooting for her, wanting to reach through the pages and pull her to safety, whispering “keep going” with every close call. That level of emotional connection is rare, and Sadie Ryan nails it.
What struck me most was how real it all felt. The loneliness of starting over, the paranoia of looking over your shoulder, the constant battle between trusting your instincts and doubting every decision… it’s all portrayed with such haunting authenticity. Sadie captures the terror of control and the courage it takes to break free in a way that is both heartbreaking and empowering.
The pacing is perfection — tight, tense, and relentless. Every time I thought I had a moment to breathe, another twist, another unsettling detail, another shock would pull me right back to the edge. I read late into the night, telling myself “just one more chapter” only to realise I’d devoured half the book. It’s that kind of gripping.
And the secret. When it all clicks into place… my stomach dropped. I genuinely felt that jolt — that mix of disbelief, fear, and pure adrenaline that only the best thrillers deliver. Sadie Ryan knows exactly how to twist the knife at the perfect moment.
He’ll Never Let Me Go is intense, emotional, and utterly consuming. It’s a story about survival, control, courage, and the quiet strength it takes to walk away from the darkness — even when it’s still chasing you. I loved every single page.
If you want a thriller that will grip you, unsettle you, move you, and keep you up way past your bedtime, this is the one. And now I’ll be impatiently waiting for whatever Sadie Ryan gives us next.
