DC Beth Chamberlain #2
SYNOPSIS
Accident or murder?
The first victim – a prominent local councillor, killed in a hit and run ‒ could be either, but the next bodies leave no doubt.
A twisted killer is at large. And he’s not finished yet.
DC Beth Chamberlain, Family Liaison Officer, has to support the victims’ families, but before she can solve the crimes in the present, Beth needs to uncover the secrets of the past.
Meanwhile, the killer has her in his sights…
MOMO’s REVIEW
I was offered both the DC Beth Chamberlain books, After He’s Gone and Presumed Guilty, to read and review as part of an online reading group I belong to.
My review of After He’s Gone was published on my blog here.
I was so wound up after reading After He’s Gone I jumped straight into reading Presumed Guilty. Spoiler: It is just as good!
Jane Isaac picks up where book one ended and had me immediately gripped. I love reading a series where you get to know more about the characters. Presumed Guilty has many twists and keeps you guessing who and who is not involved.
As with After He’s Gone I do recommend Presumed Guilty as the perfect #2 – when do we get #3 ???
