Who is Cyan Michaels?
After a few detours as a graphic designer, webmistress, painter, and rock singer, Cyan is now focused on writing novels that examine the fragile, resilient, and twisted parts of the human mind. (Honestly, most of us are barely held together with emotional duct tape!)
She enjoys reading psychological and domestic thrillers, sci-fi, spec fic, and bizarro comedy fiction. Cyan lives in southern Ontario in a beautiful little town by the river, with a cute guitarist husband and not quite enough house plants.

My Review
From the moment I started The Secrets Between Us, I knew I wasn’t putting it down. I love a domestic thriller with secrets and tension, but this one goes so much further than I expected. Every time I thought I understood what was going on, Cyan Michaels threw in another twist that made my stomach drop.
The pacing is spot on – no filler, no dragging – just a constant drip of dread and discovery. The 72 hour window adds this horrible ticking-clock feeling, and honestly, I could feel Amy’s panic creeping in. And the reveal about Mondays? I had to stop and blink because I was NOT ready.
What I loved most is how believable it all felt. The fear, the shock, the “how did I not see this?” realisation – it’s written in a way that hooks into your emotions rather than just throwing drama around. By the time the truth started to surface, I was fully invested and racing through the pages like my life depended on it.
This book is everything I want in a five-star thriller – tense, smart, dark, and twisty with zero predictability. Cyan Michaels is firmly on my auto-read list now, and I’d recommend this to anyone who loves that breathless, one-more-chapter-until-3am kind of read.
Still thinking about it. Still a bit shaken. Still five stars.
