I am sharing my review today as part of the Virtual Book Tour hosted by Zooloo’s Book Tours which runs 23 to 29 September.
Please follow along, with the Book Tour Schedule to see what other readers are sharing about this book.
Thank you to K.T. Dady, publisher Joffe Books and Zooloo’s Book Tours for including me on this tour and for providing a digital edition to read and review.
Although this can be enjoyed as a standalone, I’d definitely recommend reading the full ‘Port Berry’ series – because honestly, why wouldn’t you?”
As always, this review reflects my honest thoughts.
About the book
Welcome to Port Berry, where love, second chances and Christmas miracles are just around the corner.
Alice Dipple is determined to make her first Christmas running Port Berry’s Seaview B&B a success.
But when her childhood best friend, Jamie Stark, returns after years away, the Christmas season suddenly feels a little brighter — and a lot more complicated.
Jamie was once the love of Alice’s life, until a dreadful mistake tore them apart. He’s returned to Port Berry for a fresh start, and hoping to win back the woman he’s never stopped loving.
Alice is focused on her business. But as she and Jamie are drawn back together by the cosy charm of the B&B, the warmth of the community, and their shared history, she begins to wonder if there’s a second chance for them after all.
But just when it seems like Christmas could bring them their new beginning, Jamie’s troubled past resurfaces, threatening everything they have built.
Will the magic of the season be enough to bring them together — and this time forever?

My Review
I love, love, loved this book! It was exactly the kind of festive read I needed — full of warmth, romance, and that magical feeling that only Christmas stories can bring.
Even though this is book six in the Port Berry series, you can absolutely dive straight in without having read the others (although, be warned… once you’ve spent time here, you’ll definitely want to go back and binge them all!). Personally, I’ve only read book five so far, but it felt so natural slipping straight back into this world. It was like returning to a group of friends you hadn’t seen in a while — comforting, familiar, and welcoming.
What I really admire is how K.T. Dady handles her characters. There are quite a few names to meet in Port Berry, but the way they’re introduced feels effortless. You never feel like you’re lost in a crowd — instead, each person arrives with just the right touch of background, making you care about them without even realising how quickly they’ve found their way into your heart.
Alice and Jamie’s story had me hooked from the very first page. I loved the alternating POVs, which gave me a chance to really understand both of them — their fears, their hopes, their stubbornness, and the undeniable spark still between them. That second-chance element gave the romance so much depth. I found myself rooting for them, flipping pages at speed to see if Christmas magic (and maybe a little courage) could finally bring them back together.
The pacing is spot on — cosy, gentle moments balanced with the kind of tension that keeps you reading late into the night. And the setting! The charm of Port Berry at Christmas practically glows off the page. You can almost taste the festive baking, hear the laughter spilling out of the B&B, and feel the warmth of a community that always rallies together.
This is exactly the kind of Christmas romance I adore: heartfelt, uplifting, and filled with that perfect mix of love, hope, and a little seasonal sparkle. Honestly, I didn’t want to leave, and I can’t wait to see what comes next for Port Berry.

💬 And a final note from the blogger…
After finishing book five, I went straight out and bought the first four — they’ve been waiting patiently on my Kindle ever since. And now, having read book six, I just want to hide away and devour the whole series from the very beginning. If only my TBR pile would give me a break!
