⭐️ How do I rate the books I read?
I use a ⭐️ star rating system based on my personal reading experience. Ratings are meant as a guide rather than a definitive judgement, and they reflect how a book landed with me at the time I read it. You may notice small differences between my ratings here and on platforms like Amazon or Goodreads, where star scales are interpreted differently.
⭐️ Do I review all the books I read?
No — I choose to feature books I’ve rated three stars or higher on the blog.
If a book isn’t the right fit for me, I prefer not to post a public review and will quietly step aside instead.
⭐️ What happens if a book doesn’t work for me?
If I’ve agreed to review a book and it doesn’t feel like the right fit, I’ll contact the author, publisher, or publicist privately rather than posting a negative public review. My aim is always to be fair, respectful, and constructive.
📚 Do gifted or review copies affect my opinion?
Not at all. Some books reviewed on this blog are provided as advance or review copies, while others are purchased, borrowed, or already owned. Receiving a copy never influences my thoughts — all reviews are honest and my own. Each review includes a short disclosure note explaining how the book was accessed.
📖 What formats do I accept?
I prefer paperback or hardback editions, as I love the physical reading experience. That said, I’m also happy to review Kindle/ebook editions when physical copies aren’t available. 🎧 Audiobooks may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
⏳ How long does a review take?
Review timescales are discussed on a book-by-book basis to ensure each title gets the time and attention it deserves.
I don’t offer guaranteed publication dates unless agreed in advance.
