She can fix everyone’s problems – except her own.
Connie is great at giving advice. But she’s terrible at taking it. Stuck in a dead-end job, living in a shabby house-share and dating a man she doesn’t really love anymore, her life is falling apart. But when she helps out her best friend, then offers a few pearls of wisdom to a social media influencer, everything changes.
Overnight, Connie goes viral. DMs flood in, follower numbers skyrocket and strangers are hanging on her every word. She’s even offered a TV interview. There’s just one problem… the woman who can solve everyone else’s issues is completely losing control.
As her job, friendships and reputation start to unravel — while the gorgeous TV producer Toby keeps appearing wherever she goes — Connie has to decide what really matters. Is it the online fame she never asked for, or finally finding the courage to take her own advice?

My Review
A Warm, Funny Read Full of Chaos and Relatable Moments
This was such an enjoyable read. It made me laugh so much, but at the same time I couldn’t help feeling really sorry for Connie. She’s one of those characters who can see exactly what everyone else should do, always ready with the right advice — but when it comes to her own life, everything feels a bit stuck. It’s so easy to recognise that feeling of knowing something isn’t quite right, but not quite doing anything about it, and I think that’s what made her feel so real.
What I loved most was how naturally the humour comes through. The situations she ends up in and the way everything starts to spiral felt so easy to picture, and there were so many moments that genuinely made me smile. It never felt over the top — just that kind of everyday chaos that somehow keeps getting bigger.
At the same time, there’s just enough emotion underneath it all to keep you connected to what she’s going through. As things begin to build and slip further out of her control, you really do feel for her — even when you can see the decisions she should be making. That balance between humour and frustration worked really well for me.
I also really liked how the story explores what happens when everything starts to shift, even in small ways. The impact on her confidence, her choices, and the people around her felt believable without ever becoming too heavy.
It also felt like such a refreshing change of pace. After a run of heavier, more emotional reads, this was exactly what I needed — something lighter that I could just enjoy and get lost in without that lingering weight afterwards. It’s still engaging and easy to connect with, but in a way that lets you smile, laugh, and move on feeling uplifted rather than emotionally drained.
Overall, this is a warm, funny and very relatable read. It’s easy to get caught up in, full of humour, and I enjoyed every minute of it.
