Fall hard for the Scottish Rugby Rebels

a brand-new rugby team that lands in a small Scottish town and sets everything on fire. They fight. They fall. They fail spectacularly at keeping it professional.

Four players.
One coach.
Five scorching hot love stories that hit harder than any tackle.

About Book 1 – Tackled by Trouble

Two enemies. One contract. No chance they’ll survive this Scottish rugby season without breaking a few rules – or a bed.

Brodie
My career’s been built on two things: winning – and never backing down. But one scandal later, I’ve lost everything. Now I’m at the mercy of the one woman I can’t stand: Charlie Harrington.

She’s loud, impossible, and infuriatingly gorgeous – and she owns my bloody contract. We clash. We fight. And every row feels like foreplay. If I want redemption, I have to let her rebuild my image.

But the more we work together, the harder it gets to remember why we hate each other.

Charlie
The last time I saw Brodie MacRae, I was engaged to his rival. The same man who tried to ruin him. Since then, I’ve launched my own agency and built it from the ground up.

Now? I own Brodie’s contract.

He’s cocky, reckless, and a walking PR disaster. But he’s also magnetic in the worst possible way. Every meeting ends in an argument. Or a stare-down that leaves me breathless.

If I can’t keep this professional, I risk everything I’ve built.

This season, the biggest match isn’t on the pitch. It’s in the office, on a promo tour, in front of cameras. And the bedroom.

By day, she’s a German journalist, translator, and Scottish historian; by night, she transforms into a purveyor of page-turning passion and fun. After trading Berlin for Scotland in 2018, Beatrice has been smitten with her adopted homeland and not once looked back.

With her knowledge of Scottish history and literature acquired at the University of Glasgow, she sprinkles authentic Scottish experiences through stories that venture well beyond predictable clichés. Her heroines are fierce, funny, and delightfully flawed. The kind of women who trip over their own witty comebacks but land on their feet with style. Her books deliver wit, heat, and men who are actually worth the emotional investment: charming, filthy, and capable of both finding the G-spot and the grocery store without assistance.

When not hunched over her laptop in her Glasgow flat (fuelled by industrial amounts of coffee and pastries), you’ll find her hunting for inspiration in crumbling castles, exploring Scottish landscapes, or striking up conversations with the residents of ancient cemeteries. Her future gravestone will immortalise the time she convinced David Hasselhoff to sing, a tale best shared over whisky. And while she throws herself into ceilidhs with the same enthusiasm as karaoke nights, her dancing has been described as ‘enthusiastically hazardous’.

MoMoBookDiary Review

I wasn’t sure at first. The profanity felt like a lot, and the opening pages came at me full tilt — pure grump, pure attitude, pure chaos. But then I realised that was the whole point. Brodie MacRae isn’t here to be charming. He’s here to snarl, slam doors, and wreck his career one spectacular PR disaster at a time. And the swearing? It’s all part of that rage-soaked armour. Somewhere along the way — maybe as he softens, maybe as I did — I stopped noticing it. Or maybe it wasn’t there anymore, because Brodie was changing.

Charlie Harrington is everything Brodie doesn’t know he needs. She’s fiery, sharp, and completely over being underestimated. But now she owns Brodie’s contract, and like it or not, she’s responsible for salvaging what’s left of his reputation. They clash. Constantly. And every snarky exchange is loaded with more tension than the entire Six Nations put together.

Their chemistry? Unreal. The kind of slow burn that doesn’t so much simmer as boil over the second you let your guard down. There are promo tours, camera crews, and one hotel room that pushes their barely-holding-it-together dynamic straight into the danger zone. The banter scorches. The glances sizzle. And when it finally snaps — you’ll feel it in your bones.

And look, I won’t lie — my weakness has always been a rugged, whisky-loving rugby man with a chip on his shoulder (ifykyk). So of course Brodie MacRae had me in a chokehold. It was inevitable.

I didn’t race through this in one sitting. I savored it. Every snarky exchange, every moment of tension, every carefully built piece of emotional payoff. It’s spicy, yes — but it’s also beautifully character-driven. Beatrice Bradshaw knows how to write heat, but she also knows how to write heart.

And the setting? Honestly, that pushed it from great to unforgettable. With scenes scattered across the Scottish central belt, it felt like this book was unfolding just outside my door. The Stirling scenes hit hard — especially that library moment. I genuinely had to stop myself from grabbing my car keys. I almost wanted to start stalking the libraries in town, just in case!

By the end, I had that rare feeling — the kind that only comes with a truly immersive book. That sensation of lifting your head and blinking at the real world like, How is it a summer Sunday in Bathgate when I’ve just spent Hogmanay in Brodie MacRae’s place? It got under my skin. It lingered. It made everything around me feel a little more muted for a while.

📌 Tropes I Loved:

🏉 Enemies to lovers
🏉 Rugby player x sports agent
🏉 Forced proximity
🏉 Only one bed
🏉 Work romance
🏉 He falls first (and hard)

If you love sports romance with devastating banter, grumpy x fiery tension that crackles, and that one bed moment you know is going to ruin you — this book is your next obsession.

Beatrice Bradshaw does it again — delivering heat, humour, and heartbreak in equal measure. And with this being the first of the Scottish Rugby Rebels series? Let’s just say I’m already limbering up for the next one.

Sincere thanks to Beatrice Bradshaw for including me in the Bonnie Book Bunch and providing the digital advanced reader copy.
