My thoughts:

I absolutely adored An Enchanted Moment on Ever After Street! This heartwarming and enchanting tale offers the perfect blend of fairy tale magic, romance, and community spirit. From the moment I stepped into Marnie’s world, I was charmed by the lovely themes of friendship, love, and kindness woven throughout the story. It’s a feel-good book that left me smiling and wishing every small town had a local bookshop like Marnie’s – a place where books bring people together in the most delightful ways.

Marnie, who runs the bookstore A Tale As Old As Time, is struggling to keep her shop afloat in the age of online shopping, especially after receiving a complaint about her overgrown garden. Enter Darcy, the mysterious, brooding neighbour whom no one has seen without his ever-present face coverings. Despite his intimidating presence, a budding friendship forms between Marnie and Darcy, sparked by their shared gardening moments. I loved watching Marnie break through Darcy’s emotional walls, all while dealing with her own challenges—managing her store, handling her persistent ex, and planning a special book event.

The Beauty and the Beast parallels were such a lovely touch, especially with the gruff, reclusive Darcy next door. This story is much more than a simple romance – it’s about healing, second chances, and the power of connection. The chemistry between Marnie and Darcy builds beautifully, making their relationship feel both sweet and sincere.

Jaimie Admans has crafted a witty, emotional, and uplifting tale that will charm readers from the first page. An Enchanted Moment on Ever After Street is a story about hope, community, and finding happiness in unexpected places.
