About the book:

A determined detective… Maggie is determined to keep her friend safe, but with Kate already struggling with a threatening stalker, Maggie now fears Kate’s life is in real danger. Or will Kate become his next living doll?
My Thoughts:
You know those Netflix series that you just can’t help binge-watching? This series is the same, but in book format! I was lucky enough to have Book 3, “Dead Perfect,” on my shelf, so I could jump right in as soon as I finished “Dead Wrong.”
“Dead Perfect” is another testament to the author’s extensive knowledge in her field. I loved the authenticity of this third instalment.
The story is tense and fast-moving from the very first page, setting a relentless pace. Noelle Holten’s writing draws me in and keeps me turning page after page, making it impossible to put the book down. In this book, the team faces a frantic race against time to catch a serial killer who seems to be targeting one of their own. With no obvious suspects and time running out, the pressure intensifies. I enjoyed how uniquely and mysteriously the perpetrator was portrayed. While I guessed their identity early on, I remained unsure about the motive until the very end. This book was quite creepy, and I felt genuine fear for the characters.

I met Noelle Holten at the book signing of another author a few years ago.
I bought the first four books immediately. Whilst I was excited to read them, they sat on my bookshelf for way too long! Once I started reading I couldn’t stop and was pleased I had the full set at hand to read as each book ends with a cliff-hanger for the next instalment. I realised in enough time that there was a fifth book and was able to get that just in time!
I am thrilled to highly recommend this series and its talented author, Noelle Holten. She has crafted a brilliant, original, and thought-provoking series. Her experience in the field is evident, providing an authentic portrayal of the damaging effects of domestic abuse across generations and the challenges faced by professionals in this area. The series focuses on the probation service, and the authenticity of the procedures, characters, and dialogue is a major strength. I was captivated from the start and eagerly binge-read the series from the first page of book one to the final page of book five.
